Our Story segment for this edition is intended to remind the Afro-Panama Canal Zone community of the educators that laid the cornerstone of the silver schools.

We are the products of a Panama Canal Zone school system that transitioned from an English to a Spanish based instruction that inspired us to become productive citizens at home and abroad.

The Rainbow City High School Class of 1962 Tribute to Our Educators is a superb history of the dedicated educators in one of our silver schools and is re-published for you. As you read the history of the educators, please reflect on the other Canal Zone silver schools’ unmentioned teachers and their impact on our careers.

I hope you enjoy the Tribute to the Educators segment and share it with the succeeding Afro-Panama Canal Zone generations.
